Transformational Thursdays

Success secrets are not new. C. Clement Stone. Napoleon Hill. Wallace D. Wattles. Norman Vincent Peale. Zig Ziglar. These men were pioneers in the area of success. More recently we have Tony Robbins, Jack Canfield, The Secret, and others. While many people think the “science of success” is a bunch of hooey, the truth is, there is something to it. Focusing on what you want in life doesn’t automatically get it for you, but it does help you recognize opportunities to achieve your goals. Its like when you want to buy a new car and all of a sudden you see the car you want to buy everywhere you go. There aren’t more of those cars on the road. Instead, because you’re focused on what you want, you NOTICE them more. By noticing you can then take action.

On Thursdays I’d like to offer tips, hints and resources that can help you transform your life. Whether you want to be able to be a stay-at-home mom or you want to be richer than Oprah, success strategies can work if you use them.

The best way to get started is by writing down what it is you want. Or can write what you don’t want and then write the opposite. “I don’t want to work outside the home” would become “I want to work at home.” This may seem like a pie-in-the-sky or froo froo task, but think about this. Nearly all the super successful people in the world WRITE DOWN THEIR GOALS! The easiest way to get something is to follow someone who’s already done it!

I recommend a fantastic book called Write It Down, Make it Happen by Henriette Klauser. It not only show the power of the pen, but provides tips on how you can write down your wants and goals.
